Rising Star Dance is the only accredited More Than Just Great Dancing™ studio in Carver County and is committed to following the Safer Studio™ guidelines for the health and safety of our students, staff, guests and community. It focuses on a hierarchy of measures to create a Safer Studio™ environment beginning with requiring students and staff who are ill to stay home, followed by frequent hand cleansing and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning, and making curricular and facility adaptations to minimizing contact and mingling. This accreditation is supported by national and local guidelines to inform best practices for service continuity and re-opening in person services. |
Rising Star Dance uses a commercial cleaning company to professionally clean their facilities. We have worked together to ensure that we are efficiently disinfecting; especially door handles, hand rails and surfaces. Our cleaning company is up-to-date on new cleaning requirements.
Our teaching staff is trained on how to prepare each studio for class, which includes sanitizing after EACH class including washing the floors with an EPA approved Covid disinfectant.
Our office staff is trained on how to keep all other areas of the studio clean and sanitized several times a day.
Rising Star Dance has implemented curriculum changes to their programs and marked the dance floor to help guide dancers to maintain appropriate social distancing while dancing.
We have adjusted our schedule to have staggered start and end times to minimize mixing and mingling during transitions.
Preschool dancers will receive their own dance prop bag, so we have eliminated the sharing of teaching aids.
Before leaving your home, we ask our families to complete a self-wellness checklist, which follows the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines for Covid-19 related symptoms. Dancers with any of these symptoms should stay home from class and have the option to take classes via our online Zoom link in your class portal.
Upon entering and exiting the classroom each time, we will have dancers sanitize their hands. There are also hand sanitizer stations in the lobby.
Please enter using the main entrance for all arrivals. A staff member will be at the front desk to greet your student and help them to their class. At this time, we ask that parents of older students to please wait in their cars or run errands during class. Our Preschool classes may have one parent sit in our lobby waiting area to observe class.
Please limit parent drop off to one person whenever possible. Sibling visitors cannot be accommodated during this term.
Communication is important during these ever changing times. Parents will receive emails regarding any changes in procedures and practices.
